Our professional horse handlers are responsible for helping produce the quality equine movement essential for our sessions. Each handler has been trained on horse safety and is proficient in horse understanding and interactions.
We have a handful of carefully selected volunteers who help keep us safe and steady. They may help with things like grooming and walking along side during a session.
Nova is our Paso Fino pony with a heart of gold. She stands at a solid 14.2 hands and is able to carry both small adults and children. She has an energetic walk and smooth trot, which gives us variety in our sessions. She loves attention and will be the first to come over for a hug.
Meadow is a petite Welsh cross at 12.1 hands; she is very athletic and loves attention. She is very curious and loves to watch all the fun on the farm. She will be happy to help our smaller patients, especially if they are hesitant when sitting on a taller pony.
Apple Jack is a Paso Fino x Quarter horse cross who we rescued before she was sent to an auction. At 14.2 hands and is able to carry both small adults and children. She is a very sweet and willing girl and we are so glad she's part of the team.
Rockcake is a14.1 Highland Pony and is the mother of our Epona. As beautiful as she is kind, this angel unicorn is quiet enough to carry new riders and strong enough to carry adults. We are so happy she is part of our family.
Rescued from an auction and named after Patrick Swayze, Bodhi's character is as big as his appetite. This little guy loves attention and playing with his horse and human herd. Not for riding, but he's able to help being led on group walks.
Epona is our newest family member and is a rare breed called a Highland Pony. She has a few years of growing to do before she can be ridden, but in the meantime, she's happy to give a hug and stand for grooming and hair braiding.
